Obviously they do; they were formed by United fans. Many of the United fans that go to games have never been to an FC match and dont really care much about them but at the same time they do recognize that they are a team created by United fans and that there is a connection with MUFC, they take a sort of 'fair play to em' type of view.

A small minority though cant help themselves but to go out of their way to discredit FC and try to detatch them from MUFC. I dont know why they do this but if i was to hazzard a guess the following reasons would come to mind;

- Insecurity, fear that one day FC United might be in the same league as MUFC and that there could be two United's in Manchester

- Guilt, the mere existence of FC reminds them of how they did £#%&! all when the glazers came in

- Jealousy, they dont live in Manchester and so cant get to the games or watch them on TV so they dont like them

- Closed mind, only have an ability to think inside the box 'there's only one united', 'its always been that way' etc

There may be other reasons that i'm not sure of - maybe Shenwen or some other anti FC forum member could explain it better to me?
I've no problem with FC, i have a problem with your self-righteous superior attitude though you @#%&!!

Lou I find it hard to take anything you say on FC seriously considering you live in Canada. It's pretty funny actually 'cos you're one of the biggest talkers about them on your high horse.

First post on em in months. All i've done is highlight my joy at them being in with a shout for promotion - i mean if i put on here that the youth team had won the youth cup final you wouldnt have a problem with it so how come when i post something about the supporter owned united team playing in a final it's unacceptable? wouldnt mind if i was preaching but i'm not - i'm happy they won on Wed and have a big game on the weekend to play - if your not interested get the £#%&! off the thread!

Lou, seriously, why post that?
The 'small minority' you refer to are not going to change their minds, and the rest are going to (understandably) feel insulted.
All you end up doing is confirming in people's minds that FC fans are @#%&!s and make life harder for us when we're trying to build bridges.
What's the point?

Each to their own choices ffs.

Nobody even cared about your thread at first you weapon. You had to bump it back up yourself, and add in a mention to 'the fan's team' because you were obviously disappointed at the lack of reaction first time round. You £#%&!ing love all the arguing, in fact you're the only FC fan on here who's continually a divisive @#%&!, so don't try and play the innocent.

Spot on. I'm convinced that when it goes quiet on the FC front, some people who like to get on their high horse say stuff to spark a reaction just so they can reel off the usual responses such as 'why are you bothered about us?' 'are you obsessed?' etc.

It's just the way you chose to bring the thread back to life.

Further up bedders asked if the term 'the fans' club' might be a bit offensive, and was told that might be being a bit precious, but your post goes much further - surely you can see how people might find it insulting? I realise who it was directed at but still.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with defending FC but there are ways of doing it.

'3pm Saturday Gigg Lane, scouse bastards in a final, all welcome', for example.

I bumped it because they won you turd! In a way this thread was testing the water to see if any of the miserable £#%&!ers on here might have lightened up about them.

I can see they havent so i'll go back to saying £#%&! all and stick to commenting on MUFC instead. Simple.

You bumped it because we won, yet you made no mention of that victory at all.
Can you see?

Far to much paranoia on this board.

Cry? Not crying, just pointing out what a @#%&! you are, a point you are failing to contradict. As to taking the internet seriously, it wasn't me posting on it at 4am was it.

Problem with this board is that there's a level of over sensitivity - some give but cant take.
