Pal of mine signed up for membership this season.
Had no luck in the initial sales for individual match tickets after the fixture release. He did get a Cup Season Ticket in the weeks prior. Below is the email from United regarding his application for a ticket against Liverpool. Given the season hasn’t started yet, credit is given to those that bought and went to games last year. Which is fair enough. But with ballots oversubscribed for the games, how are you expected to build up some purchase history if you can’t get ticket? Seems like another brain fart of an idea from the ticketing and membership services. A weighted ballot that you get get any weight. He’s shelled out £300 for the Europa League packages and his card details for the rest of the home cup games. ******* Thank you for your application for our home game against Liverpool on Saturday 20th August 2022, 3pm KO. (date & KO time TBC). The ballot has now taken place and unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful. Please note that further to discussions with our Fans' Forum, this initial ballot was undertaken with priority being given to those Official Members who attend the most matches. Given the season hasn't commenced yet, priority was given to those who attended the most matches last season. As a result of the unprecedented demand for this game, a small number of pre-match hospitality packages, which wouldn't normally be released to Official Members have been made available online. Given changes made over the summer, such as enabling Season Ticket holders to return their tickets to the club if they are unable to attend the game, we are hopeful that more general admission tickets will become available for the game, if so, they will be released for sale online to all Official Members on a first come-first served basis. Thank you for your support. Regards Ticketing & Membership Services |

Tell him to keep checking, if it is the same as last season, many
tickets will go on general sale closer to the date of the games. Each game 3800 season ticket holders are moved out of their seat and placed in the TRA section off the Sretford End. Last season it was 2400, those seats went on general sale, i assume it will be the same this season |

Why are those ST holders that go to TRA not given permanent seats (standing room) in that area? Is it different folk each game? Quote:
They sold the premium membership and additional double lock guarantee of a £100 per ticket deposit as a sure fire was to get a season ticket for this season. Two days later, an email saying there would be no new season tickets sold due to accommodating fans who took a year out. Mad lads. |

Didn’t know that. Thanks.
Why are those ST holders that go to TRA not given permanent seats (standing room) in that area? Is it different folk each game? Each game you have to apply to be in the section. I believe there is over 6000 members , so different people will get in for each game. However i assume there will be a hardcore that are in every game, mostly those that were in TRA from the start. For many reasons, they are reluctant to give out permanent seats. Pass on`s and touting are two reasons but this still happens anyway. |

I replied incorrectly I get in TRA every game ... but Thanks anyway Quote:
in North Stand tier 3. Was poor many games last season, to many just standing there making no noise at all, which is strange as the whole purpose of the section is to improve the atmosphere. |

See how it goes. I’m looking forward to the experience of no phones and getting a bit of atmosphere. |
