Too right - especially on someone as over-rated as he.

They've nowhere else to turn now though - surely they're too far down the road to pull out.

58m! - still he should be good for 10 goals a season.

Torres is a good player but in 243 games he has scored 91 goals which is simply not what Liverpool need. They need a 30 a season man not a classy forward who spurs the team on and chips in a few. They really need a ruud rather than a rooney.

I certainly can't believe they aren't in for those two? Then again with Bolton interested who would have a chance.

Well I would put those 2 in my list of top central midfielders in the premiership but also in that list are Gerrard, Alonso, Sissoko and Masherano and so i think they are okay for centre of the park. Should they sell any 2 of those then I am sure that Rafa would have those two names high on his wanted list.

I agree to some extent, this has a hint of desperation about it, they feel they need to spend a huge amount on a player to show ambition and pehaps are willing for it to not be exactly what they need.

If Atletico sign those 2, they have a much stronger team than Liverpool and Torres would be stupid to leave.

They can't sign those two unless Torres leaves though

They've already signed Forlan.

That isn't what he said. But yes, I'm sure his employers will be aware of his situation.
