Utter @#%&! of a @#%&!

Them @#%&!s were a protected species in their “prime”. Remember, plain as daylight, in the charity shield, him giving Wilkins a full smash with the back of his elbow, plain as day in front of the ref, in the face, because the crab had the temerity to tackle him. £#%&! all done about it. Like Dave McCreery, literally rugby tackled by Hughes when clean through. Again, £#%&! all done about it. Fk, 40 yds out. We actually had incidents brought up in parliament for far less when Eric was King. Would love a full-on snide like Ramos.

G2c the Reds wise up with Robbo, Norm, McGrath, daft Kev, Hughes etc. Bailey used to watch the action hiding behind the goalpost. As fat Ron said, “there was a bit of Humpty Dumpty out there but you’ve got to fight for your right to play”.

Is this the start of a football #metoo movement relating to dangerous play?

Souness was a magnificent player, this was an era where you could put the boot in to some degree and I admired the dirty players. There's no defending that tackle and the fact that it was 30 years ago and folk still mention it

Ah, back when it was a man's game and you were allowed to hide a deficit in ability with an abundance of aggression.

Ah, the old career ender/feign injury combo; the Liverpool way.

Souness: Decent pundit, awful hypocrite. Rabid abu.

we had Whiteside who was a proper dirty bastard considering he was still in his teens. Robson, Moran, McGrath could also put it about.

The guy raking his studs down the back of souness’ leg immediately prior to the tackle illustrates the type of shit that was no doubt going on all game. Souness was just a little too obvious with that one.

Souness wasn’t hiding his lack of ability with aggression, he was an excellent midfielder in his pomp.

Yep. No one was moaning when whiteside came on as a sub against Liverpool and immediately put one on McMahon, who subsequently shit himself and was invisible for the rest of the game.
