People moaning about the Larsson signing ffs

Came in at a difficult point, provided some much needed cover and an experienced head to help the younger lads chasing their first title.

Great move on Fergie’s part.

Larsson was turd.

Remember his first game and there were a load of gimps in celtic shirts a few rows in front of me

Probably Celtic fans coming to watch a club legend.

Except that it gave Saha a nervous collapse, or at least he was never the same player for us afterwards.

Saha has always said he had a mental block about getting over his frequent injury problems and that was what held him back, not competition for places.

Blanc, Larsson, Goram.
Shouldn’t that read “Blanc, Larson, Goram and Goram”?

Always thought we should have got Stam a top class partner after the treble, and he ended up leaving before one arrived
Slipped on his arse for Owens goal in that game too from memory...

Saha was mentally weak.

That’s why, despite how good a player he was, I would never bet on him scoring in a 1 on 1 situation.

Stam was alright. Not as good as his imposingness suggested though.

Anelka and Owen used to love a goal or two playing against him. Rio a step up for sure.

Writing that book, at that time, might have been one of the most ill-advised things I’ve ever seen. This wasn’t about nandrolone, injuries, loss of form or the moon landings; it was about Fergie having total control over that changing room. He’s only said it a million times ffs.
