In a move that appears to have been targeted at mega-rich Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City, clubs will be prevented from running a deficit on spending of more than £90million per season.

And they will also be banned from “stockpiling” players — with a limit of 25 pros over the age of 21 allowed on the books of any club.

Uefa have come under pressure from Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid to clamp down on the “state aid” that allowed PSG and City to outspend their rivals last summer.

Barca were furious they found themselves powerless to prevent Neymar moving to PSG — who are owned by the investment arm of the Qatari government — while similar criticisms have been directed at Abu Dhabi-owned City.

And in what appeared to be a pincer movement orchestrated by the traditional elite of the European Clubs Association, the new proposal for “Financial Fair Play 2.0” is being prepared to go on the table in May.

Current FFP rules mean clubs are only allowed to lose £26m when wages, transfer fees and income are balanced over a three-year period.

Although investments on stadiums, training facilities, youth development and women’s football are discounted from costs.

The new regulations would end the overall calculation and apply only to transfer spending each season.

This term, of the Premier League clubs, only City and Manchester United would have fallen foul of the new limit, as would PSG and Italian giants AC Milan.

So, yeah. I think the days of United letting our players go for a pittance are now over.

Quite.
I think that's the problem with the rest of them. Bad attitude, poor mentality and most of them appear to be lacking in any footballing intelligence. Mata does appear to be the only intelligent one but he played like my arse on Sunday as well.

Brilliant.

Chelsea have been at it for 15 years, City for 10. Suddenly the Spanish shitstains throw a paddy and UEFA decide it’s a pressing matter.

Madrid kicking off about “state aid” and Barcelona whining about players forcing through moves against the wish of their employer is £#%&!ing hilarious really.

Bullshit rules designed to hamstring the British clubs as well as PSG, they'll be relaxed as soon as Madrid realise they mean they aren't able to flog their cast offs for 50 odd million quid and can't buy who they want any more.

If Madrid had city's owners,Barca had PSGs and abramovic had taken over a club like Athletico there would be no FFP at all.

Manchester United have given Jose Mourinho ‘full backing’ to oversee a ‘radical overhaul’ of the squad.

With the manager ‘prepared to ditch some of the players he signed who he believes have not dealt with the demands’, that means there is likely to be drastic change in the playing staff at Old Trafford.

Even Paul Pogba is not safe, and it is suggested that he could be ‘forced’ out if his form does not reach a consistent level.

Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind are all available for transfer this summer, but Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Anthony Martial and Pogba could all join them.

‘There has been a lingering hope with some of the players who have fallen out with the manager, or fallen out of favour, that they may outlast him at the club,’ writes Jason Burt.

‘But it is becoming increasingly apparent that United will back Mourinho for at least one more summer.’

Darmian, Blind and Shaw are all bit done nqat

I’d add mata and two of Smalling/Jones/ Rojo to the list. Fellaini better not sign a new contract...

Probably keep Pogba in the hope he actually he grows up and Herrera for squad depth

If martial wants to leave then bye bye Tony, hopefully though he wants to fight for his place.

If it was up to me, I'd ditch well over half the squad and take the pain of new players and new manager settling in next year tbh.

Romero
Rojo
Blind
Jones
Smalling
Darmian
Valencia
Young
Mata
Fellaini
Herrera

Probably would only replace 5 or 6 of them too. Scorched Earth required.
