Wasn't a pen. And it shows Madrid can ship a bunch of goals. Not a good omen if they get the verm.

Stonewall penalty for me. Not even sure why there's a debate. He shoves him as he's about to score!

This..

It's almost an impossible challenge to get right. He would need to hook his leg round perfectly and Nick the ball away. Striker gets his body between him and the ball, any contact in the back and it's a penalty.

If that was a defender sheparding the ball out, he would get a free kick 100% of the time.

Doesn’t rate Dave.

Cravat-wearing David Niven wannabe.

Never played for Citeh.

Only a debate because it is the last minute of the game and the history of Madrid and Barca getting favourable decisions. Definite pen, should have sent off Benatia as well, that was the only mistake there.

Served Juve right for sitting on the 3-0 when they had Real all over the place.

Only saw the penalty incident this morning, it's £#%&!ing soft, no way United get that, ever, especially not off Oliver. Probably the right decision though, Vazquez looked like he had no idea what he was going to do with it, doubt he'd have scored if he hadn't fouled him Ronaldo rising like a salmon at the back post, again

Benatia had been booked a minute earlier for two bad challenges in quick succession. Not sure what he thinks he's doing there

He's got to go for it tbf. Last kick of the game. Probably a pen, but Vasquez is so lightweight he made the challenge look stronger.

Overall I think Tibs makes a great point though when he says Juve lose sympathy for giving up the initiative. I'm sure they could have scored a 4th during those last twenty mins had they really wanted to.

Exactly. If he’d stood off him and not made the challenge Vasquez almost certainly scores, and Benatia is slated for ball watching. Tbf he’s only about an inch away from connecting with the ball, would have been a really interesting decision then.

To me the bigger question is how the £#%&! Vasquez was allowed to get into that kind of space in the 93rd minute.

Yep, another goal would have clinched it. And its not as if playing for extra time was exactly foolproof either

Got a feeling he’ll be the big one this summer...

Woodward’s been trying to land him for a while, if the rumours are to be believed.
