Seville was disgusting. But getting knocked out at the last 16 and qualifying with ease for next seasons competition beats getting knocked out in the group stage and then failing to qualify.

Second due to a freak season by city

Sevilla was poor and on Mou, but potentially a necessary evil, not just for how we finish this season in the league and the fa cup but as an experience we use for next season.

We've played good football for the majority of the season. Next season will be even better.

Those players you mention have all had good seasons, even shaw has been given plenty of opportunity but you have people who dont like mourinho who can see he may not be in optimal shape for football in recent months.

Pay attention to that stat, and we'll be even better after you see who mou is signing this summer, not just in defence but midfield.

Pretending we have not improved under mou is simply delusional at this point.

To say we have improved is not the same as saying we've been world class or mou has not made mistakes.
