Telling Mou to get back in his box when he wanted to bin Martial is up there with the great shows of leadership.
Creating the situation for a predictably shit season and letting it linger for 6 months. Yeah, great stewardship. A good steward would have dealt with the situation the moment he decided the manager was the wrong man for the job.

Regardless of who the manager is, the club suits either back them fully or get rid if they don't think they can do that.

Doing neither of those things last summer was always going to end up the way it did.

Some on here will claim this post is an attempt to exonerate Mourinho, they might as well claim I am trying to "exonerate" gravity.

If they'd sacked him last summer after the 2nd place finish I doubt you'd have supported that decision either.

They were entitled to see if he could get more with the players he had before backing him further. It was the briefing sessions that made little sense. Though Mourinho created the environment where others clearly felt they had to get in first.

Ole's a miracle worker with what he's done to bring the players he has back onside and playing for the team.

Why do people assume Jose did the buying? I am of the opinion that Fred and Lindelof were signings by the club and not at Jose’s request...

That was the theory at the time.

But there's also the theory that he sidelined them out of spite and/or to make a point to Ed.

He also bought him, just like he bought Bailly, Mkhitaryan, Sanchez and Lukaku.

God-awful transfers from a God-awful manager and a God-awful man.

Thank £#%&! he’s now poisoning some other club and not ours.
