Default Will we catch Spurs this season?

Simple question.

No puns.

No ifs or Nicky Butts.

Will we finish higher than them?

Just like being in a queue being formed in Warsaw, there's a poll to follow.

FYI - we are 3 (three) points behind Arsenal and Chelsea but 7 behind Spurs.

15 games to go.

Of course we are technically capable - but that's half a point a game we need to gain on them. That's a point every 2 games so that means we win and draw if they win and lose. Or we win 2 and they win 1 and draw 1. Or we draw one and lose one and they lose both.

You get my drift.

Haven’t Spurs got some difficult away fixtures coming up? City & Vermin at least IIRC.

Just checked, Chelsea, City & Liverpool away & Arse at home.

Yeah - Chelsea, Liverpool and City away.

Arse at home.

Can easily drop 7 points there.

You basically just explained what 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw means.

All on how we shape up against the verm and ciddy, even chelsea, but in the absence of a spurs implosion 7 points looks like a big gap, so I doubt it. Think we be good for 4th.

That's a two point swing, not one

This thread is slowly but surely starting to go the way of that bodybuilding thread where they're arguing about how many days are in a week

It depends.

They'd have to pay 3 games to achieve 5 point (WDD) or 5 games (DDDDD) or actually there's an infinite permutation to achieve 5 points (DLLLLLDLLLLDLLLLLD..... to infinity followed by a D would also technically give 5 points).

This doesn't take into account any possible points deduction.

Assuming an infinite season which it would have felt like under Mourinho.

I doubt we'll catch them.

7 points doesn't sound all that much but it's pretty rare that sort of gap is closed in 15 games.

As good as it is at the moment, we'll hit bad form again at some point and lose a few games.
