Football Pogba's best position.

Didn't see his interview with Henry until today.

Says he can't be bursting into the box when playing in a 2.

That's fair enough considering we have actual strikers, don't need him scoring goals every week. But if he's not having a massive effect playing in a two, it seems a waste of wages.

You'd be miles better off with someone like Modric, right?

Is Jose hoping to convert him into a latter day Paul Scholes? Or does he want him to play like Scholes when he had the energy to be both playmaker and goalscorer?

Whatever the weather, we're looking at one fascinating football thread.

Wouldn’t go that far but better than Phil Chisnall/Graham Moore

Seems a shame considering his fancy footwork and scoring capabilities.

Carrick is telling him to make runs in the box. It's all v confusing.

Jose to blame? Is he trying to neuter the lad?

Wouldn’t go as far as “striker” but ffs, with his footwork in tight spots.... him, up close behind big Rommers, Sanchez, with Rashers wide. Despite sporadic shows of what he can do in mf, just doesn’t seem to fit the role.

He should be treated like Gerrard was at Liverpool when he was unplayable for those couple of seasons.

Henry: why did you make that run? for first goal

Gormless: To be honest I didn't think about anything

Insanely talented but nothing going on between the ears.

Have you ever kicked a ball at any level at all? Players don't 'think' ffs. Its instinct. How quick do you think the games moves? Thinking time ffs.

Fuzzy is one of those 'intellectual' Irish lads who wear boot cut jeans, ill fitting crombies and like a lot of lager.

Sports are frowned upon, as are haircuts, bathing etc.

Yes, like this ^ guy. Flush of cheek and white of neck.

Pogba has very smart haircuts and great athletic skills. Doesn't need books and theories.

ok

At that level, that's correct. Its instinct.

What was Pogba supposed to answer to that question? Well I thought Sanchez would swing it in Ander would do a gorgeous chest down and I was there to tap it in

Its instinct and attacking the space, years and years of professional football mean you don't have to 'think'

Imagine belittling someone's point by ridiculing their ethnicity. Now instead of irish, imagine it was because they were black.

Disappointed tbh

No shit - I just said those words in the work kitchen not 5 minutes ago.

Think we need to build around the daft fool for the next 2 seasons. And why not? #barrynorman

Personally, for me he needs something like what happens when a Greggs boat sinks. A floating role. He's not clever enough to be disciplined.

So you're saying Paul McGrath and Phil Lynott should be shot #cathynewman ?

Loved the way he ran after the ball after the first goal, their player kicked it off the field he still chased it , not very cool of him. He was absolutely pumped. Didn’t even celebrate much after the second. He was in the zone. More of the same please Paul.

Left sided central midfielder playing with a Matic and a box to box grafter so his defensive duties are minimal.
