Nope

They are loving it, as every football fan would be....

Small time @#%&!s who you never knew were blues until 2012, let alone 2008. You know, the snide ones who'd get the kick in after the big lads beat someone down.
People are hilariously naive if they think football fans have any morals whatsoever where their club is concerned. Expecting their partizan supporters to share the same dim view of their shenanigans as everyone else is just ridiculous.

However it doesn't mean that the entire football world has to buy into their over inflated opinion of themselves. This means that when other clubs rightly feel they're taking the piss with the ridiculous self-sponsorship and various dodgy ways they're sidestepping FFP, their fans and club feel it's some sort of vendetta against them and hilariously try and act as if they're the helpless victims of some big bad conspiracy.

The fact of the matter is there is nothing really complicated about what's gone on there. It's not like they've played the long game and endured decades of average shite to realise some grand vision that was going on behind the scenes whilst the rest of the world looked on at the blue circus. No, they were shite. Hopelessly shite . Then someone came along and went "hmmm i wonder what would happen if someone took this medium sized football club and threw several billion quid at it."

That's really as deep and as storied as that ridiculous bunch of @#%&!s get. They hark on about that £#%&!ing play off final because it's really the last genuine achievement they had that wasn't the direct result of having billions they didn't earn lavished on them. You can buy lots of things but you can't buy your club's identity and it is so quintessentially City that they just thought 'barcelona are doing well, lets copy them'. Get in all the barcelona suits and then the manager. Welcome everyone to the Nou Tramp.

One of the most beautifully written pieces of text I've ever seen.

city fans don't care if the source of their success is morally dubious. Plus they're delusional enough to think our success was the same anyway.
They're on the cusp of doing something unprecedented so not that surprising that some of us aren't taking much comfort in Liverpool getting knocked out last night.

Of course they don't care if their success is of morally dubious and cheating nature as long as its allowed to stand in the record books the footballleaks revelations should have resulted in much more happening to them than what we have seen. If someone actually did come in and take it all away form them and punish them for being the cheats they are, then I think many of their fans/bots would have to eat a humple pie or they could continue to go down the Trumpian path that the world is conspriacy against them.

As for Liverpool I'm delighted that they are out, would have been terrible if they had won CL at the back of winning PL (i.e the old European Cup format)

Still annoyed at Chelsea somehow not winning the League Cup a few years ago, which meant city doing the domestic Treble we never quite pulled off

It's mad how watching United do what they did for years, when they got success they can't fill their ground and sell tickets for pennies.

I know the modern game has changed and more fans are not going but it's not that causing it, they just don't have the fanbase.

They called us glory hunters for years yet we still have a far bigger support at games.

Good post Sparky

If we'd been bought over by a sovereign country, bought any player we wanted and installed pep and half the Barca set up, I'm pretty sure we'd be lording it over every team's fans as we hoovered up trophies.

But I'd like to think many of us would also have the self awareness to admit in quieter moments that it was all a bit £#%&!ing ridiculous

Stupid blue @#%&!s seem to think they've earned it

Lovely stuff

This is why it all comes with a disclaimer. As shit as it will be if they pull off a treble or quadruple, everything they do has that hollow feeling.

They know it, deep down, even if they’d never say it. They’re a play thing and not even an original one. It’s part of the game. They’re not the first and won’t be the last, but as Sparky says, they weren’t some sleeping giant doing the work behinds the scenes. This isn’t the realisation of decades of hard work. They’re a Trading Places $1 bet.

The problem is that the media will ignore the disclaimer and fawn all over them and anyone complaining is simply a bad loser.

The local TV news is already breathlessly hyping up "THE HISTORIC QUADRUPLE"
