I think your initial assessment here was the correct one. Starmer's "assailant" was an anti-lockdown crank - very much a minority position in public opinion.

Strange thing about that poll is that most of its findings - *except* the headline VI figures - aren't actually that great for the Tories.

Which suggests that the recent stuff is cutting through to an extent, but not yet fully.

The sleaze thing is excellent politics from Starmer.

There is little, if anything, in the accusations but that doesn't matter if he can get the mud to stick.

Good to see him starting to get his act together.

There isn't, as you will see when it's looked in to.

That doesn't mean it isn't hugely damaging though and Starmer is absolutely right to pile on with anything that sounds even remotely questionable even though he knows it's nonsense and exactly what Labour politicians have done previously.

It's just good political business and a way to get those with little ability for critical thinking in to a rage.

(i) no - this is absolutely wrong, but it's all the desperate, vacuous dick has;

(ii) it will blow up in his face.

Johnson has a horrific week in which he’s come across as a classless sponging c*** and Jem and tatty look to see how they can make it about starmer looking shit.

‘But I said Johnson was a dick once last year and just because I criticise starmer ever f***ing day doesn’t detract from that’.
