I agree that big money guarantees nothing (cough, Di Maria) but Robertson had something like 200 first team appearances before he joined Liverpool. Very different player profile to the names being floated around right now

In fairness, I think James is a good secondary purchase. But some of the other players we've been linked with - yeah, maybe not right now.

James can come in and be slowly introduced to the first team like Robertson etc... were at Liverpool.

Some of the other players linked are far too raw for that. They'll be sent out on loan.

yeah they will just not for the next 3 managers so will get a debut by next feb probably.

Indeed. United fans would be saying he must be shit if he’d had 200 games without being snapped up already.

How many games had lee Sharpe had for Torquay? They’re either good enough to sign or they’re not.
