Phew. Was worried for a moment there that some of the soft lads on here wouldn't get to see a footballing behemoth showing us how it should be done.

Did well as could be expected there, Villa.

City a shadow of what they were last couple of seasons, but still a cut above.

We could beat them next week. We won't, but we could.

Why oh why are we wasting our time with the most pointless domestic cup going in world of football.

And when it was introduced in 1960. there were sixteen clubs opposed the competition's creation, thirty-one approved it which means 34% of all Football clubs that were full members of the football league were against the EFL cup is creation.
And Manchester United was the longest hold out against taking regularly part in EFL cup (only taking part twice in ten seasons) then it was made into obligation if it was made optional again I wouldn't be surpriseed if United would opt out of EFL cup completely.
But I want mention it has been FA is fault that FA cup has been downvalued down to the level of the pointless EFL cup in resent year, telling United to take part in that stupid Club World Cup in Brazil and then starting to play FA cup semis at Wembley.
