Default when did you start going to old trafford on your own ?

prompted by red@rse thread about first game you went to

first few games with me dad (even though he was a blue) when I was about 7, but then from about aged 9 onwards was allowed to go with a load of older lads off our estate

went with me own mates from about aged 12/13

also........what was your first away ?

older lads took me to the semi v leeds at hillsborough 1969, 0-0

first away with me mates was notts county at the end of the division 2 season, major riot, very exciting

I was about 13/14 when I first went without my Dad.

First away was Stoke on Boxing Day 84 - aged 11, started going aways alone at 15.

First game in 88 vs Liverpool aged 9, started going on my own in 1991 and from 92-96 went to virtually every home game. Good times

I was at that away, I went with my mate we were both 13 and doing our first away without my dad.

I started going to home games alone when I was about 11, mainly the odd midweek as my dad worked away a lot. Even when I was about 15/16 I used to get the match special bus from Burnage to the game and my old man was on it with us. We ended up sitting together in K-stand until he passed on.

First home (bearing in mind I was living in London) that I went to with just my mate I was about 15. His dad used to come with us but couldn't go to one game so our parents said it would be ok as we'd been enough times so we knew what we were doing. We thought we were so £#%&!ing cool on the train with a couple of cans we'd swiped from his dad's house.

First away by myself would have been a London game when I was 12, don't remember who against as from that age onwards I used to go to them all.

Same as my first game. Loads of kids from the estate went.

I went to hope hospital took a load of lucozade bottles from the bottle bank. Nipped over to the offy, got 5p per bottle and joined them.

Caned that bottle bank to go see the reds.

Was going on my own from about 11/12, before that my dad used to drop me and my mate at the Old Trafford Paddock at about 12pm and £#%&! off to the pub until 3pm, then he'd lift us up the wall, out of the paddock into the seats Was about 8-10 then
