Before my time, but always enjoy the footage of him applauding Stepney*. Any older reds care to speculate as to good he was compared to pele maradona etc?

I'm not arsed if not. Actually, just leave it.

*dont know why. He hit it straight at him!

I didn't like to say, especially today.

Just read this on facebook and thought it was Moyes again

"I received a trophy from the Everton chairman and I feel honoured about that because this is a very special place for me" Eusebio at Goodison Park.

I'm not *quite* that old, but the consensus seems to be he was a £#%&!ing fantastic player. The Ronnie of his day, in more ways than one

Not an older red, but if you get a chance to look at a full 1966 World Cup documentary, he's clearly the best player. Terrorised Pele's Brazil, scored four to pull Portugal back from 3-0 down to North Korea (who had seen off Italy) in the knockouts and got nine goals in six games overall. Arguably the best player in the world at that point.

He also loved United. I remember when Benfica were about to play Liverpool years ago, someone grabbed him for his thoughts and he just said "yeah, Liverpool are okay, but my favourite English team in Manchester United. My great friend Bobby's team."

RIP
