Default De Gea - busted flush?

How many top keepers’ careers just seem to trail off?

This lad is no Buffon.

300k a week

Not *quite* ready to bin him yet, but as I've said before he needs genuine competition for his place.

Hendo back here for next season PLEASE.

Why?

How many top performing keepers have the pressure of a good no 2?

It wasn't an issue when he was good.

We either play him or don't.

If Henderson comes in, it should be instead of him, not as well as him.

He's been shit for 18 months. I can't think of a keeper turning it around at a club after that long. He'll only be allowed to make so many errors for us.

Today was the last straw for me.

Romero for the last two and then sell him in the summer. We wont do that though.

He'll start on Wednesday and any mistakes he makes will be on our blind faith.

Let’s hope we get a decent bunce for him but £#%&! him off regardless. Henderson is the next number one so why hang about. Thanks for the good times but he’s a liability now.

Decent bunce? There’s only one club in the world who are going to pay 400k per week AND a proper transfer fee. Even Chelsea wouldn’t do that and they’re in dire need; not that I’d ever suggest selling him to a rival.

I don't see Henderson being any more of a risk than De Gea next season.

If it doesn't work out with De Gea, it comes at a price and he's done.

If it doesn't work with Henderson, it comes at a price, but we're investing in a young player.

Don’t think Ole has the balls to drop him so it’s a moot point

We gave him that big contract at the start of the season so we’re stuck with him for at least another season

I think we'll persist out of stubbornness. We never expected this and it's a problem we seriously didn't need.

If DdG is costing the team and as a result Ole, he’ll have to drop him.

Doubt he’ll do it immediately, he’ll want to support him as much as possible, but it can’t go on forever. Hopefully Fergie pulls Ole and tells him a story about Jim Leighton..

Shame it’s ended like this for the lad. He’ll be remembered for throwing goals in when really he’s been £#%&!ing brilliant for us over the years. Times up though.

Give him till Christmas and if he’s still shite then cut Henderson’s loan short. Whilst we owe no one a living, think how bad some of the last 7/8 years would have been without him.

You have a very different idea of what constitutes a “knee jerk” reaction than I do.
