Our pursuit of a centre back this summer has been strange
Initially we seemed to want Hummels but then he said he's staying so we moved onto the seemingly very unrealistic Ramos while the Otamendi rumours hung around in the background like a bad smell

Haven't seen us linked with anyone else
Hopefully our centre back signing this summer is another surprise and a pleasant one at that

One thing the divs need is another £40 million or so defender

We're definitely signing another centre back as LvG has already said that a position we need to fill especially as it's obvious that Evans is on his way

However if we assume the Ramos transfer isn't going to happen then I'm not sure who we're targeting

I really don't think we've ever been in for him

This will be seen as them getting one over on United, even if United were never in for him.

Everything they do is all about getting one over on United.

I think there has been way too much smoke for this not to be legit . Even he referenced it in interviews iirc. Harsh to compare this to the Gaitan stories.

We must be confident Ramos will force his exit.

Ramos is our first choice clearly and we remain Otamendi's first choice. Don't you think he'd have already gone had we signed Ramos up quickly?
