Being claimed by a fair few that he would still get off lightly compared to Suarez - except that the latter didn't actually say "negrito" did he?

Ole wants to extend his contract by another year which leads us to believe that Haaland would be out of the question for summer 2021

I thought he was on a 1+1 contract. Seems stupid to do anything until this time next year.

I read that unless we take up the option before January, he'd be free to negotiate with other clubs for a move in Summer. Not sure what would happen if he was offered a contract by another club in January and then we triggered the extension though.

hopefully Ole uses this as a stopgap until he can get Haaland...put him at our 9 with Rashford, Bruno and Mason, we'd have the best front 4 in the world

United had a chance to sign Haaland for £17m last January but wouldn't agree to Minola's terms which is probibly the reason behind the friction between the him and United but invoking the extra year for Pogba didn't help.

£#%&! Haaland. What is the obsession with him? Go and sign another young striker to be in the squad around Cavani for a bit.

Wouldn’t want Haaland until he changes agent. Genuinely would want to keep Pogba if he ditched the fat parasite.

Cavani has had a very positive impact on the squad and rightfully so we should keep him for another year if he can maintain this level of play

However, he's not the long term solution at CF and with Ole wanting to extend him a further year then it just seemed to fit the time line for Haaland's buy out clause summer of 2022. Not sure how you can question the guys ability as he's banging in goals for fun at the CF spot that Martial misses on a weekly basis.

I don't think you'll find many doubting his ability but most would want to pay his agent £70m+ to sign him and that's in the unlikly event Miaola would allow him to sign for United.
