no one who wants to run it as a legitimate business.

Wow, who knew giving absolute dogshit players twice what they'd get anywhere else would make it harder to shift them?

Who the £#%&! signed off on that deal

I see United twitter fans are having a collective meltdown because nobody else apart from VDB is coming.

You'd think after 15 years of greed and incompetence they'd have worked out how our owners do things.

People thinking we're going to buy 4 or 5 players each summer simply need to do the maths.

You don't get much for less than £50m. Top end players are £100m plus.

Even if it averages at £50m per player, we're not spending £200-250m in one window.

Not a £#%&!ing chance.

We spend £50 to £100m each summer, with a bit extra thrown on if we shift a few (which seems increasingly more difficult each season).

VDB Plus maybe a £20-£30 punt on Regulion is all you're gonna get.

It's no wonder we aren't forking out £100m for Sancho because we simply can't afford it/won't pay it.

And it doesn't look we're getting anything from sales because all our squad dross are bringing in £100k + a week.

As you say, you think we'd be used to it by now.

Madrid have spent nothing, PSG have spent nothing, Barca are picking up our cast offs for 30 mil from the french league, City by their standards have spent very little.. Liverpool have spent £#%&! all.

Literally the only club that has spent big is Chelsea and that's cos they had 160m quid worth of hazard money burning a hole in their pockets.

Playing behind closed doors has £#%&!ed clubs across the world, anyone thinking the glazers are going to drop 100m on sancho should be sectioned.

Football is learning it's lesson that it can't operate in a bubble any more, all these clubs that have loaded themselves with expensive players on stupid money now can't offload them.

Woodward is holding out until almost the last minute in the hope the "selling clubs" will blink.

He always does this, and the results are similar some 99% of the time.

If we only end up with Big Donny, it's going ot be a long hard season. Literally haven't addressed any of the problem areas of the squad.

They better pull something out the bag here. Clubs like villa outspending us ffs

A club like Spurs bringing in Bale, Regullion, Doherty, Hojbjerg and looking at a striker and they were going to put their staff on furlough ffs.

It has to be due to the fact they're holding out for Ole's number one target, and know they're bloody close to getting him. Either that or they want to sell the club early on in the coming season. Those Radio el Fuego rumours might be true, after all

Or they’re doing what they’ve done the last few times we finished in the top 4 and looking to spend as little as possible while pocketing the CL money for themselves.
