Nah, they’re cash rich. £40m minimum imo.

Chuck us all the Rice money and you can have McT, Mags and Martial.

On the hook for £15 mil salary for him at the moment before he's entitled to leave for free; if last season is any indicator, we'd be getting c. 9 league games a season in terms of minutes out of him. So pretty much a million a game before he leaves for free.

Suspect he goes for around £25 mil; gives the club £40 mil equivalent to reinvest into a player to match that 2 year period. Feels like that's a deal that suits both parties. For all his comedy here, he'll probably still be a good-standard league centre back for a mid-table side for 4/5 more years.

What happened to the playing the club thing on a friendly as part of the deal?

Getting rid of him would be as good as signing Kane imo.

Harry Maguire signed a 7 year / £59,250,000 contract with the Manchester United F.C., including an annual average salary of £8,464,286. In 2023, Maguire will earn a base salary of £9,875,000, while carrying a cap hit of £9,875,000.
3 years left at £9.875m a year according to that ffs.

I take it back, take the £20m on the proviso we don’t have to pay him up
