Strange signing for them imo. Don’t see him playing their style.

You can't play the exact same way every year, evolution is a part of the game.

Unfortunately he's a high quality addition who'll likely manage their midfield control a lot better than their current options.

I was just saying that to my boss. Great player, will probably shine anywhere he goes, but don't think he is the perfect fit for them.

He's still gonna tear it up through the little bastard.

If it ain’t broke. Can see him being their Veron. He’s a better player than Winjaldum or Fabinho but those work for them, hugely.

I don't think they can play at the pace they have the last couple of years without adding options, the trick is finding a way to control games that previously you had to go hell for leather for. It's far less exciting, but it keeps your powder dry for when you need to put in the effort. It's far, far harder staying at the top than getting there. They haven't strengthened sufficiently yet IMO, and will suffer the typical physical drop that Klopp's sides do. Unless they put another striker / forward in the line up & find a way to win games without having to cover so much ground.

Thumbs up

Good signing. Hope he is perpetually injured.

They've had to sell Rhian Brewster to Sheffield United to afford him that might come back to bite them on the arse.

What. A. Summer.

27 million though. And we get quoted almost double that for some lad who just went down with Bournemouth

Mental innit. Great player unfortunately. Sure we would have managed to squeeze him in somewhere.

quality player going to Pool...and he played in a high pressing system at Munich so i don't think it'll be that difficult for him to play the same role under Klopp

he gives them the one thing they did lack in that midfield....a creative player on the ball

Their fans were actually starting to get a bit restless about the lack of signings (sound familiar?) so this is a bit of a coup in more than one sense.

The bastards.
