fair enough. rvn all the way for me over shearer. shearer vying with andy cole for a spot on the bench.

I loved RvN more than most when he was at United. However I have to agree with shoes in this instance for the fact that Shearer could score from anywhere and was much better in the air.

And Shearer also had to come back from a major injury.

So did Ruud

Schmikes in net is easy, both fullbacks in Neville & Irwin are obvious choices.

Centre half is tough, lots of choices but not one centre half stands out as an obvious choice.

Midfield is very easy, Ronnie, Keano, Scholes and Giggs, no one comes close to that.

Up front, 2 from Eric, Henry & Shearer. Obviously Eric is a definate.

He should be the first name on that team sheet, without a doubt.
A lot of revisionist %@#$&!s in recent years which has tried to downplay his achievements and influence on English football. Pisses all over the likes of Shearer, Henry, Fowler and any other @#%&! anybody would like to mention.

There shouldn't be a single Liverpool player in a Best XI from 1993-2010 imo.

As much as I hated Henry, I reckon he's probably the only non United player who has to be found a place in the side.

Shearer scored lots of goals for mediocre sides that largely won nothing, and enjoyed his prime goalscoring years when the Premiership was probably the 5th strongest league in Europe. £#%&! him.
