Only if you're deluded enough to think that Liverpool and City are our rivals this season. Its actually Arsenal and maybe Chelsea, in which case we're not too bad.

Said previously patience is required this season unless we want to keep repeating the same mistakes. Does anyone think Ole made the wrong signings this summer, or are they saying he didn't make enough.

The 2 things are completely different and only one is down to him.

We’ve had three penalties in three games (should be 4 tbf) which points towards us actually getting into dangerous areas and attacking sides.

We’ve made three big mistakes in three games that have probably gone on to cost us points (missed pens and Daves clanger) so cut out the mistakes and we’ll be ok.

James has 2 in 2 and looks good.

It’s much more entertaining to watch than it has been in years. And that’s including De Gea’s clangers.

This.

We've thrown points away. Which I much prefer to just generally being shite.

We're better on the ball. We've stopped launching it up top.

James goal was excellent and he's a threat. He's gonna piss a lot of people off and keep coming back

Other teams challenging for what we are also look a bit dodgy.

Ole is bullet proof I reckon this season unless he is bottom 3 that is. Shifted some of the heavy wages and even more with Sanchez.

Net spend £65m. Much lower wage bill. Will give youth a go. More of a yes man than anybody else they can get.

Ignore the top 2. Our top at the very very best if 'we' sort out the mistakes and put games to bed is 3rd or 4th (IMO).

Only seen his goal but James looks good.

Any chances of Garner and Gomes getting mins soon? I'd be tempted to pop Pogba or Mata into the 10 slot at home and shore up midfield (sadly it'll be Matic for a bit). Don't think Lingard adds enough at home in terms of creativity.

That all said I can't remember how good either Pogba and Mata are 'in the hole' .

Think we do need something different in attack though and that might come from Gomes.

The three signings Ole has made have been our best players so far this season.

Exactleh. Also, I’m in Marbs right now at one of those restaurants where they’ve got framed pics everywhere of famous people who’ve been here. Pride of place? One of Matt Busby and Martin Edwards.

UNITED

You’ve also got Bashar Al Assad and Monkhouse.

It’s early doors but Ole has already brought in 3 players who’ll significantly improve this team, so he’s already done better in one window than our previous 3 turds did in twelve.

James again:

Currently our best attacking player by a mile.

Didn't expect this kind of impact from him.

Maguire:

He's not perfect, but he's got some personality and we're automatically 32.6% with him at the back.

A win:

We needed it badly. We should have got more points from the first four than we have. We've thrown points away and yesterday could have been another case of pissing away a lead to a drab 1-1, but we dug in.

HOPEFULLY a bit if confidence from that, some players back next and a bit of ruthlessness in front of goal and we can get ourselves back into a healthy position.

We've made a less than impressive start and we're right in that top 4 mix. The margin for error is quite big. This isn't a title race..

One defeat in the first five matches, and even that shouldn't really have happened.

We won’t lose to Liverpool. That’s a Positivity Thread Guarantee.

If Ian Rush took 20 years to score against us when we were shite we can hold off Firminho for one game while we’re reliably mediocre.
