If ever there was evidence that we pay our players too much ffs

Our goalkeepers used to be able to let the odd howler in every now and then against bottom of the table dogshit and we'd come back and smash them for 4 or 5.

Now every mistake our defence and goalkeeper make is magnified a million times because we're so utterly rancid breaking down teams at the other end.

He’s finished. Been great for us over the years but the game has moved on and his distribution and control of his area is a joke. He’s not a patch on Allison or Ederson. Another 100m we need to spend replacing this soft @#%&!

Bingo.

Attack is our biggest problem.

It's pretty hard to pick a 'biggest problem' when the whole team is so shit.

Board level, management, backroom staff and players, it's all £#%&!ing shit.

Yeah fair point.

Just feels so far away from anything united when we struggle to score goals.

Teams get more confident the longer games go on when we’re struggling to break them down and even create a single chance, usually ends in us losing all confidence and inviting teams onto us like today.

Teams don’t fear us.

De Gea’s blunders are a concern though.

Still far from a concern given how shit the side is.

However, he must be one of the weakest keepers ever. That shite the other week, and some @#%&! today barely touching him and he is all over the place. Zero presence when an attacker is near him in his own box, which a keeper should be dominating.

Maybe I just compare our keepers to the Big Dane, imagine him being wobbled by either of those incidents.

Well in Maguire's defense he looked better with Schmichel Jr behind him. As we all know jr is keeper in the mold of his dad.

It is looking more than a blip now, has not been the same keeper since the WC, 18 months of poor form. He has never developed the rest of his keeping, best shot stopper I have ever seen but if his reflexes and anticipation are going he can't exactly fall back on command of the box, organization and communication can he?

I worry that he is another Rooney situation where a huge contract has been handed out to a guy already past his prime.

I would have to be drunk to image that ever happen. It would in reality be the other way around the Great Dane would just have crushed the oppoment,

considering our situation I feel we have four chooses:
1. Buy Schmeichel jr
2. Give Romero a change
3. Promote Henderson
4. Stick with de gea.

Ederson is a great passer but he's suspect as a shot stopper. First two years he got by since City were so dominant opponents barely got a sniff. Now they concede every game. Just two weeks ago he let Martial squeeze one past him. If Ederson had the same workload as a pure goalkeeper as De Gea we'd be worse off.

No keeper would have saved that Martial shot. But Martial won't get any credit for it because he's Martial. Rashford scores it = world class. Martial scores it = lucky. I know that isn't your point but just saying

It was one howler. A costly howler, but the bloke’s not doing it week in week out ffs. Bring back Henderson in a year’s time and let him play understudy for a couple of seasons then take over.
