34 billion for something very few of us really understand or think we use.

Not bad for something you can download for free.
Red Hat was the first linux distro I ever used. But I cheated, used Webmin most of the time.

we're running on centos which is basically the free branch of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
