So spineless that he rejected Mou's requests this summer and then briefed the press as to why none of them were good enough for United?

Do you honestly think Mourinho wanted to sign Pogba?

If he listened to Mourinho it'd have been John Obi Mikel in the middle of the park tbf

But we're talking about when Woody still thought he'd pulled off a coup by letting Mendes bully him into hiring Mourinho. He'd sure as shite not tried to cross him then, because he hadn't seen what Mourinho's signings would actually be like. i.e. crushing disappointments to a man.

Last summer's £#%&!wittery was a response to the Sánchez fiasco.

There is a big difference between not signing players the manager is looking for because they are too expensive and not value for money and signing players he doesn't want
Also briefing to the press is the behaviour of cowardly shit otherwise he would come out in public with his comments

Yes I do think Mourinho wanted to sign Pogba because he wanted him the previous summer at Chelsea and Chelsea not pushing the boat out to sign him was one of the reason he got pissed off with the board there

Seriously if Jose didn't want him you really think it wouldn't have been let known at the time we signed him and during his first season when he was already seen as a bit of a flop

Kante is an awesome player. Defensively he's outstanding as everyone knows but he's clever with the ball. Works out the opposition, can carry it forward, never rushes. The anti-thesis of Pogba, but as the World Cup showed together they are different class.

I'm not absolving Pogba of blame for his performances - it is clear despite his big personality that he is not a leader - but if he were to leave he'll be going to Barcelona, Juventus or Real Madrid. If he's good enough for them but we have questions at United maybe there is a bigger problem...

If people think we'd be better off with Jose's idea of mad dog midfielders than Pogba then they need to give their head a wobble
He's not a midfielder who can control a game but he's a game changer and match winner
Put him in either of those 3 teams and he'd look like he did for France in the summer, a world class attacking midfielder

We're talking about a Mourinho who had been rejected by Chelsea, who had just got into all sorts of shit over that physio and had just been given one of the biggest jobs in football to escape the shit he was in.

I'm pretty sure he'd have just accepted it.

Little you say is going to change my opinion and I'm pretty sure the same applies to you.

Can imagine a scenario whereby Mourinho, so desperate for the United job, doesn't challenge the club's aim to sign Pogba, which probably pre-dated him taking over. No necessarily signing him over his head, but a decision that was being made before he took over.

But unlike Conte, Allegri and Deschamps, Mourinho hasn't been able to work with the player.

Clearly all Pogba's fault...

Iirc Van Gaal mentioned something about Woodward giving him players he didn’t ask for?

All this talk of Mourinho signings being shit blah blah blah, it’s like people have glossed over the fact that we’ve been utterly shite in the transfer market for quite a while

Give me Matic, Pogba, Lukaku, Bailey and Lindelof over Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Falcao, Rojo and Darmian any day of the week tbf.

You'd hope so given they probably cost fives times the amount

Martial is still the best signing of the post-Fergie era

That's like being the tallest midget.

Post Fergie signings:

Good: Ibra, Martial.
Average: Grant, Romero, Herrera, Rojo, Mata, Shaw.
Poor: Lukaku, Sanchez, Matic, Pogba, Mkhitaryan, Bailly, Schniederlin, Depay, Darmian, Schweinsteiger, Di Maria, Blind, Falcao, Savic, Fellaini.
Jury still out: Dalot, Fred, Lindelof.

Literally never heard of him. Can't go down with other work permits legends such as Celio Silva.

Just google him too - no way is he 21.
