Sir Jim will provide a $300 million fund intended to enable future investment into the Club’s infrastructure at Old Trafford, comprising $200 million paid upon the closing of the transaction and a further $100 million by the end of 2024. Trawlers Limited will be issued additional Class A and Class B shares at $33.00 in respect of such investment.

The Glazer's would have been forced to sell to Qatar had Sir Jim not conceded to minority investment.

All six Glazer siblings are worth less than the owners of Fulham combined.

The hedge funds were pushing for the Glazers to sell because they know they can't remain competitive on their own....but for better or worse, they got their lifeline.

I'll reserve judgement until I see the details but...

I think it's going to be difficult to get Joel & Avram out of the club now...I hope there is a guarantee of a full sale in the contract.

If that is true, why did Sheik Jassim walk away?

Not convinced tbh.

He walked away because he knew they were going to sign with Sir Jim.

The Glazer's could have limped on for two more years, but the writing was on the wall.
The hedge funds like Lindsell Train couldn't just sit there and watch the stock price whither away.

I'm not opposed to SIr Jim buying part of the club....

but a full sale with the debt cleared would have been the better option.

King Eric sent Sir Jim a birthday message last year per Athletic, abundantly clear that he gets us

not the perfect outcome, but the gimps going from owning 100% of our club to 75% is still progress.

.
Yeah we only had one offer of a full sale and those leeches made him walk away due to their utterly ridiculous asking price.

Also worrying that the likes of Dawson saying there is no route to majority ownership for INEOS,so not quite the present we wanted

Not if they didn't offer enough then we could have had the nightmare scenario of both walking away and still no hopes of a proper structure

It's not ideal, far from it, but having people who appear to know what they're doing in charge of football operations is most definitely a positive. Don't look the sort to drop 86 million on a squad player.

Happy Christmas all.

My advice to the Qatari supporters is don't blame Ratcliffe, not his fault that Jassim wouldn't meet the £6bn asking price. Says to me he didn't have the money to pay whatever it takes.

If they had it would have forced a full sale. Interest rates were dry #@&%! the gimps.

Ratcliffe should have got in bed with Qatar not those despicable @#%&!s

Ah well

So is Ineos gonna take the debt at more favourable rates?
