Fair enough. Will probably pass the 50-goal mark for Brazil this summer. 24 years old

He's not doing the Copa this year. They have been flogging tickets including the semi-final for this, refusing to buy after last two argie tournament failures

Hadn't seen that he's been excluded. For the best, really.

Bit of a joke this one, isn't it? All about CONMEBAL chasing the American dollars?

Well it's the 100 anniversary (oldest international cup competition in the world ) so the idea wasn't a bad one really but a lot of TV execs for companies that have rights to it, TyC in particular have been implicated over the process to win those rights and there is no doubt that these companies have been able to influence national associations in South America. The competition was in doubt until recently as I think it was Fox or ESPN threatened to sue as they lost the rights to it in shady circumstances.

It makes sense to capitalise on the now huge interest in football across the US but if I'm going to pay money to watch Bolivia and Peru kick the shit out of each other I'd rather do it in a crumbling stadium in Avellaneda with a proper football crowd.
