Except he forces full backs deep because of the threat of his pace which in itself is useful but agree might have been better later on.

Just because James isn’t good enough now doesn’t mean he won’t ever be. He needs out of the firing line for a bit to develop some confidence and personality out there ‘cause he’s shrinking a little. Love his work ethic.

This. He's come from the championship into a raw team. He's played more than anyone would have expected and if more senior players like Lingard could actually do his job then we wouldn't have flogged him to death.

Too early to say if he'll be good enough, but we've seen he can be effective and he's a hard working kid. He's just been overplayed and isn't in the best form.

As you say, I'd like to see him taken out, little cameos here and there and push on with Greenwood.

Greenwood ain't even an inside forward/winger and poses more problems than James ever does when he is stuck out wide.

He seems a good lad, can only wish him well on his eventual move to Suffolk.
