Exactly, it's not even like it's a secret either.

Even if you win the league you can't stand still, you need to strengthen. We finished 3rd and are still twiddling our thumbs while everyone immediately above and below us have gone out and strengthened, our nearest competitor last season has spent £200m ffs.

We've got more games this year where we are going to have to field what is pretty much our best 11 to try and win with pretty much the same squad as last season. It's not going to happen.

If we don't make some real moves in the next couple of weeks this season is going to be over before it really starts, and it'll be a disaster.

Woodward selling his house and taking a big hit on it to apparently.

Maybe he’s personally financing the Sancho deal

Sounds a lot like our transfer strategy.

Liverpool selling one of their kids Brewster for TWENTY THREE million.

Meanwhile, we can't shift Smalling for half that.

Apparently a 15% sell on clause and an option to buy him back lasting up to 3 years.

If that were us he’d probably be on close to 60k a week and we’d have to give him away while still paying half his wages.

We’re run by absolute clowns and no matter who the manager is or who we sign we’ll never win a league or CL trophy while they’re all still here.

That's the one. They're happy to be top four, but there's no desire to compete with the very best.

They spend the most when we're chasing that bare minimum.

All the managers since Fergie citing the same issues.

It's them.

Smalling is 30 and on big wages for a CB at least

Brewster is young, low wages and had a successful loan in the Championship

Look at Williams, we gave him a huge wage increase last season
Why?
He'd not proven anything and it's still debatable whether he makes it at Utd and if we want to sell him it's hard to see us getting much because nobody will want to pay him what we do

We never learn

Woodward is the problem

He designed the buy-out structure, he brought in the Glazers.
Trusted with the club he has f***ed us at every turn since.

This 3rd place finish was perhaps our last chance to get back on the coat tails of city and the scouse and he has overseen this debacle.
Until he is run out of the stadium he will continue to drag us down.
