And as Spurs found out when they sold Bale, more isn’t always merrier.

Exactly.

They still have the media darling and plucky bastion of youth policy, fat frank, as manager though, so a good transfer window is largely irrelevant.

What does that even mean? You’d probably never seen a single minute of the players Spurs signed, nor have you probably seen anything of the players Chelsea are signing.

You’re very forceful with other people’s opinions mate. Didn’t you call that kid who’s never played a second of top flight football “the new van Dijk” yesterday?

must be nice to have someone who owns the place who thinks that finishing top 4 isn't the ultimate goal.

They’re strengthening the depth of their squad without really improving the quality imo.

Thiago Silva? He's 35 ffs.

Done alright in a pub league for the past 8 years, doubt he's going to have much joy in England though.

he was arguably the best defender in the world and he's not that old. would you rather have a @#%&! who doesn't look around to see what's going on?

Wouldn’t mind us going that route for a bit tbh. Obviously we need a top right winger but if we had just solid options/back ups for the starting 11, we’d cope a lot better across the season.

No he wasn’t, not at any point he was hugely hyped when at Milan and looked lost and confused as we ran 7 in against them over 2 legs IIRC. Then he moved to Paris for semi-retirement
