Nice. Let's give Chelsea money towards Bakayoko. Makes sense.

Yes, big Rom has never tightened the purse strings and none of their managers have ever complained that the FFP rules are restricting their business, not even Mourinho

Not many people know this but they have a very wealthy owner - a Russian. He has helped bankroll the club so their rise from administration and just staying in the leagues in 2009 to now is a little artificial.

It's just most of Eddie Howe's 'big' signings have not been that good so he relies on guys from lower leagues. Weird situation really.

20m for a guy whose biggest achievement in life is looking like Gullit is insane nonetheless

Strange that they'd be willing to sell him to a rival

We never worried about selling players we'd finished with to the side that finished 6th when we were champions either tbf.

Don't think Arsenal finished out of the top 4 before this season had they? And technically, Webeck was moving up as we were the side that had finished 7th in the season before he was sold..

Not finished below United in his career as yet has he..?

wouldn't have been my first choice for a dm, but wouldn't be a bad signing either.

He was/is an obvious position to improve if they are serious about challenging in the CL. Talk of a £40 million deal, they are not going to get a better offer for him, 29 in a week. Not a bad player but hardly a signing to get excited over, a bit pedestrian really. He had a decent first season back at Chelsea but has been very average since, but a big powerful unit and it is fairly obvious the style of team that Mou is looking to build.

Yep.

Provided we get Fabinho as well I don't care. This lummox on his own as our new defensive midfield player would sicken me to my core...
