so working class types never say "we won" and the middle classes started all that fairly recently, along with whole selfie thing?

"how the middle classes stole our game"? nails it. :shakehead:

always struggle to finish my cheeseboard during half time at OT.
Thinking of setting up a petition to Blatter to make it 20 minutes

Been in boxes and all that. Don't know how people of working class background can stand being in them. I didn't like it to be honest. Full of £#%&!ers and posers, people who i have absolutely nothing in common with and who's opinions on football i have no interest in.

Back in the 50´s/60´s football was a working class spectator sport, That´s why the kick-offs were always at 3pm. Most working class blokes did a shift on a Saturday morning so they would work ´til 12 then do whatever they did before going to the game.

I agree with you about the hospitality packages at OT. Can´t beat a tatty pie and a Bovril on the concourse. Then stick a combo on with the in stadia bookie. All part of the match day enjoyment.

By the way, Match of the Day back then - they would only show a couple of games on Saturday night but would never announce which games until tea time on a Saturday. You only knew if United was on if you went to the game and saw the outside broadcast vans parked up at the top end of south stand. Alan Weeks, back then, was one of the regular commentators.

Me rambling again ...

you can pretty much get on with anyone if you have a positive attitude. maybe not overtly resenting someone's kindness and hospitality would be a good place to start.

I’ve only been ‘corporately entertained’ once at a football match that I can remember. Fulham away in 2008 and it was great fun; got really pissed, ate copious amounts of food and watched United win.

Had to get public transport to the ground though which was quite revolting, I should have demanded a limo but you live and learn.

I didn't say that did I. You sound a bit paranoid.
