The Return of JC

Thumbs down Michael Carrick

Cue the 'Titanic Sinks' image, but I've only just realised he's not in the England squad.

How utterly ridiculous.

I guess it's easy to forget, at the moment, what a terrific player he is.

He's not even in the squad? I didn't know that. Still, not a real surprise with Michelle Barrytini in there.

Hadn't even clocked that. What a £#%&!ing joke

Come on the teams that if they win means England won't go through.

Shocking decision. I know he hasn't been at his best this season but, then again, has really been given the chance.

Better than 90% of the other midfielders in the squad.

Rio, Wazza and now Carrick. good for Utd, imo.

I just assumed he was, but then I thought who's been sacrificed to allow OH back in and, bugger me, it's Carrick.

Admittedly, he performed poorly against Germany and Barry deserves his place in the XI, but not even in the squad?

Ridiculous.

But still, more Carrick for us, I suppose.

Oh right, yeah. I forgot about the Terry and Rio absence.

Who else do they have in there? Obviously it'll be Campbell and another.

seems pretty reasonable to me, tbh. carrick has played, what, one half since his injury? you can't pick a player who's barely got on the field for two months.

I think Richards'll play centre back with Campbell so Wes'll play right back.

Beckham's in the squad, he's only played a team of American actors.

You can if the player is David Beckham or Michael Owen.

Yeah, sorry. I forgot about the injury and suspension problems. I guess that's the only option.

Normally, I'd fancy them to beat Croatia at home but without Rio and Terry they may struggle to contain them and with Owen in poor form and no Rooney they'll struggle up top too.

Anyway, I think Russia will beat Israel so it's a girl bull's opinion.
