Default we have the best draw from a neutals perspective

we play some average team from italy who are not really strong in midfield where we are weak...

then we have a proper prestigious semi against a big club who name doesnt not reflect how they play..

we can go through all four legs without conceeding a goal imo.

No doubt it is a great draw, although you are of course being a bit disrespectful about Roma, especially about a midfield with Daniele De Rossi.

But I don't think we could ask for much better. It won't be easy, but I fancy us strongly to get to the final.

chelsea are out.
they wont beat valencia over two legs...

valencia keep possesion and will just pass them to death.

im putting £10 on a psv v valencia semi.

i know what you mean mate but what i meant was their midfield isnt one of those midfields that we hate or will find hard to play against.
its not like say a chelsea midfield...

de rossi is a good player but i think our midfield can hold its own against them.

De Rossi is a brilliant centre mid.

It all depends on the Semi really, I think we'll do well against Roma and really up our game now, this is our biggest chance in a few seasons and Fergie and the players will now know that from that draw, so we'll be a lot more up for it. But in the Semi if he suddenly shits himself against AC or Bayern we'll get beat, but AC can be beaten comfortably and we can match Bayern at least.

Possibly 2 italian teams en-route to the final, same as 99

the thing is one love no matter what tactics fergie adopts against the big clubs in the semi's they are both very very average right now.

we just need to get ronaldo and rooney to step up and make a name for themselves.

Milan are very tough to play against, I think i'd rather meet Bayern.

If we get there!

Match Bayern at least?

Bayern are terrible, although Hitzfeld may still turn them around before then.

Put simply - United are certainly better than all three sides in our half of the draw. Away in Rome for the first leg is ideal, too.

Great chance of getting to the final.

underestimate a team who were not even in the competition by default.
