Darmian's first 10-15 games were blinding. It was only after he settled and started getting consistently punted out to left back that it all went south.

Fosu Mensah ended up 3rd choice right back at Palace. Thought he was better than that.

I wouldn’t say TFM looked immense tbf, promising would be how I’d describe him. But as flixton says, for what ever reason he ended up being a reserve at Crystal Palace.

Played 24 games for them and is only 20. I'd say the loan move did what it was supposed to.

Yeah, no doubt about it. Point I was making is, he wouldn’t be an instant success if given a first team place here.

Almost none of our senior players have been instant successes either tbf, so he’d probably slot in just fine

Id say tim was brilliant at palace had two managers one wanted him roy wasnt sure put him back in after few out interesting sane claiming he was by far the best defender he played against this season .. always revert to that spurs game we lost 3-0 he was flying game 0-0 got injured came off spurs scored 3 in 6 minutes after he went off ...

They also got giddy when buying Casillas (who for years had been throwing them in Joe Hart style).

Basically, this lad is replacing Darmian (similar fee too).
