Best - Eric by a long way, but as others have said Veron and Rooney excited me more at the time

Worst - Owen. A black spot on the club and on Ferguson’s legacy. Still makes me angry thinking about it. P4P probably Di Maria based on attitude and all round @#%&!ishness, but Antony challenging on ability.

Was thrilled with Veron but it proved pointless.

Thread needs more focus for me...
No one is asking what you thought of them before we signed them:

Bit racist

It’s not that difficult a question tbf and doesn’t require this much thought.

Who’s your best signing?

Oh well it could have been Cole but he players 2134 minutes and Cantona played 1254 minutes: when I look at what the XG was during them minutes I need to take in to consideration the number of saves Schmeichel made versus Van der sar. Then when I think about the average minutes played against the price paid I have to….:…

Denis/Eric. The two true Kings. Both immediately ignited the club into the best club ever seen in England

Birtles/Martial/Beek…. ++++

Edit: Honourable mention to Bryan

Most excited: Cantona (would have been even more giddy with Shearer in 96)

Least excited: Mount (big money), May (cheapo signing)

Eric was the best. Completely transformed the club and impacted massively on the young players coming through at the time. Not arrogant, just better.

Andy Cole was my favourite at the time of the signing. Then Rooney

Pogba was the worst. So much skill and ability, so little appetite for success. Could have been that generation’s Cantona, decided to be its can’t be bothered.

Fellaini was the one that excited me least, the full stop at the end of the Fergie years, the pointer to what was to come.

Remember getting exctited to sign Célio Silva, have just checked and only played about 50 times till retired from when we would have signed

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%C3%A9lio_Silva

Henning Berg bit of a May mk2, but won me over.

best signing: robson.

veron was probably the worst sale.

worst signing: bellingham for real? could be any of our recent big money flops. antony? pogba? di maria? alexis sanchez (still big money)? it's got to be antony. pogba was a massive waste of talent. antony can't be accused of that.
