i have been one of his most ardent defenders for the past 5/6 years, and wanted nothing more than to see him blossom into the world class player we thought we had in store when he scored that goal on his debut vs liverpool.

he just simply isn't good enough.

First game in 5 months. He was shite.

He was shit or injured for the majority of last season. Season before he was very good.

He’s got until Christmas to prove himself useful, as much because he is one of few options and wouldn’t be replaced by next week as anything.

Same. I’ve backed him and I generally liked him. On his day, he’s an exciting player to watch, but there comes a point where he simply has to deliver. He’s 25, he has experience and he has the ability to influence games and get 20 goals a season. And he just doesn’t do it.

Another show of faith today from Ole and again, he did nothing. He didn’t have a lot to work with, but he so passive. There’s no fight in him and we’re just going to keep having the same conversation in a years time…. Two years time….

He had that great end to the season, the season before last. That was off the back of being played centrally, Ole making him the main man and he had everthing he needed. He followed it up last season with 4 goals. 4. Pathetic.

We have other options and he won’t keep getting these chances. I suspect he’ll be back on the bench against Wolves and Sancho will be in. Greenwood has 2 in 2 and deserves the chance to play there more than he does. And Cavani will be back on the bench.

Time is up for him, unfortunately.

Utter waste of space. He plays as though he cant be arsed.
