The Menu - Starts of well but just doesn't really go anywhere. And the ending is the most brazen rip off I've seen in some time.
Halloween Ends - Cemented as one of my favourite Halloween films. Basically a remake of Christine with gen z angst. Four Flies on Grey Velvet - A musician is framed for a murder after being stalked by a shadowy figure. He's taunted with calls and photos whilst going on a Poirot type investigation. Moves at a glacial pace but when it's good it's fantastic. Elevated by a gorgeous Morricone score. Fantastic Mr. Fox - My son recognised Bill Murray's voice from Ghostbusters so that was nice. |

Just watched this today, not what I expected. Once I seen what else the director has done it made a bit more sense. Would have to watch again.

White Noise
Turned it off after 15mins, utterly unbearable guff ![]() Noah Baumbach & Adam Driver - you would have thought it would be bang on, but f*** me - just watch 5mins of it & you'll want to launch you telly out of the window. The Worst Person In The World Sublime. Norwegian film about a woman that never seems to see anything through & the whole thing is a pretty straightforward tragi-comedy following her life for 4 years that has one of the funniest mushroom induced scene ever committed to film. Wouldn't be surprised if it took best foreign film at the Oscars. Absolutely essential / 10 |

Violent Night
Thought it was a family action movie so stuck it on for the lad to keep him busy while I worked in the kitchen Took me a while to realise it wasn’t a family movie at all, by which time he’d already heard quite a few f***s, Beverly De Angelo told someone to “suck a d***” and one of the henchman was impaled by a giant Icicle. We came to an arrangement that his mother wouldn’t hear of this or I’d cancel next Christmas. I watched it later that night and tbf it’s a decent laugh. |
