They'll be the same ones stabbing him in the back, ramping the pressure up and inventing stories when it starts to go wrong. The funny thing is, Mourinho, his agent and family, will also be leaking bits and pieces, to put pressure on Levy, get players out, and to save himself when its become terminal.

We're in a honeymoon phase at the moment, its a love in. Mourinho's the best thing since sliced bread. Theyve put whats coming and how it ends to the back of their minds for now. Theyd rather think about what if....... what if he did win a champions league, finish top 4 this year, win the league next year, bring youth through, play good football.

We all know a lot of that is complete bullshit and he reverts to type, he's fed the fans the same shit everywhere he's been.

The only intriguing thing is, what does he rinse out of this squad in the next 2 years, and what trophies, if any, arrive. Any notion of this being a long term appointment is pure fantasy, he's not the man to perform surgery on this squad, he's not the man to bring youth through, Levy wont and cant release the cash, and Mourinho wont change his approach.

Very weird. The same lads now bigging up Spurs, hanging out of Levy etc are the same ones who were wetting their knickers any time someone dared say Poch had done a good job there even with no trophies. Well odd.

The Spurs squad are carrying out their own surgery - deciding to run down contracts and leave - 3 top internationals who will be very hard to replace cheaply.

What some players don't understand is that Mou expects to be treated like a Mafia Don: with respect and love. Break your back for him, train hard, follow his tactics, and he'll forgive personal mistakes on the pitch and will defend you before the press and board. Hate him, or betray him, and well, it won't be pretty.
