Yep, although you could argue the club's most successful period under Fergie came in his absence - the three league titles and CL from 2007.

No doubt he'd influenced the young stars of that team though.

How far we've come. One of the best midfielders in European football wasn't our best player, yet most people will now pick Lingard in the first eleven because he's good sometimes.
