It's been done before, not a titanic moment but they nicked the idea off a legend off the internet.

True story.

I was interested to see the bleeding hearts of Logan and Yorath on about this recently

Wonder what they both made of the Leeds scum setting that kiosk on fire during their game at bradford the following season (iirc)?

i was there for that too, it was at Odsall

It was at the height of all the bother. They used to come into bradford and have huge street brawls across the city centre. they went into the indoor market and turned it upside down

it was 20th September 1986, at Valley Parade. some fans fled onto the pitch in terror when Leeds fans turned a chip van over and set it on fire.

Another vote for Odsall here. Valley Parade was shut at the time.

funny that it was the same season Luton had introduced membership schemes controlled by swipe card turnstiles, and had banned away supporters for which they were kicked out of the League Cup for it - but not kicked out of the FA Cup.

it was strange to see the Luton fans on the pitch giving it large the other week. found it hard to take the tv pictures seriously tbh.

according to wiki:

Quote:
Bradford City played games at Elland Road, Leeds; Leeds Road, Huddersfield; and Odsal Stadium, Bradford; while Valley Parade was re-developed. Valley Parade re-opened on 14 December 1986, when Bradford City beat an England XI 2-1 in a friendly

Looks like i need a new book of facts

thanks carlo, thought i was going mad

the scry thing about odsall is that it sits in a basin so the carpark and entry is at the top of one of the stands behind the goal ie you sort of go down onto the stand. i'm sure they were trying to roll the chip van down that stand

it is quite literally (not in the redknapp sense) an old tip.
