It’s early days for him - that side of his game is likely to improve as the team hopefully becomes more accomplished.

People expect too much too soon imho.

I meant in the cup games. Like last night he could have played at rb giving awb a days rest for the scouse game

He’s a 22 year old playing his second full season of professional footballer. He’s okay going forward but not great. He connects well with the rest of the team and will get better. And his defence is much more than a sliding tackle (although his tackling is top class and not to be sniffed at).

Give him a bit of time. He’s played about the same number of career games as Daniel James. The fee we paid can be misleading

No, that's a factually accurate statement - I agree he was decent today.

Turning up against Liverpool is one thing tho, its doing it week in week out that he has never convinced at (as with others in our squad)

He played very well today, much like he did against city in the league.

He is so exasperating as he is likely to phone in a performance against Burnley on Wednesday
