I don't believe in any sort of God. If I did, I could think quite a few people who I'd want saved before the Queen, or any of those other aristocratic @#%&!s.

Why anyone would feel any sort of alligence to that family, I've no idea.

look i find people queing to sign a book of condolences for Di or the Queen Mum £#%&!ing odd, one of my favourite sports in the office is baiting a fierce royalist.

However, the closest I have come to representing my country at anything was when I got picked to play for the British Civil Service Rugby League team against the French Civil Service in Avignon,

A> I was £#%&!ing proud to play.
B> It was great singing the national anthem in front of a pretty partisan french crowd.
C> It was even better stuff them at Rugby in a £#%&!ing dirty game.

I sang because I am proud of where i am from, I was proud of what I was there to do, and I we all wanted to ram it up the french (in the nicest possible way) .

i'm welsh so all the ani-ingurlund stuff with being a united fan fits in very nicely with me.

tbh i think people can sing if they want to, i don't understand why they would at a club game but there you go.

what does puzzle me was the amount of united fans i saw yesterday in ingurlund shirts and not just ones with united players names on the back as well. it's not just cos of it being wembley either cos you see it at OT every week. you can see them squirm when we sing 'he plays on the left....'

but theres the problem

the vast majority of national anthems are about the COUNTRY

ours is about a PERSON so far removed from the man on the street its untrue

God Save Our Queen. She is our head of state even if the uber reds don't like it. You lot have double standards, you pretend to be socialists yet stand aside and allow Glazer to price out the average fan. You then criticise the team for singing along to OUR national anthem. What would you prefer? A vote on here to select the Stone Roses song they sing along to?

You lot need more to concentrate on rather than singing the national anthem in the national stadium before playing the national game. Hypocrits.

Oh him, he's a top bloke he is. A man of the people if ever there was one.
Seriously though, imagine a head of state who was a politician or worse, someone who wasn't. I don't want the winner of Big Brother being able to stand as Head of State, Jamie Oliver is not up to the job either. The Queen will do it with dignity until her death, She'll never sell out to Hello magazine and does a sterling job, God bless her.
