tactics won that for Real

Barca battered them in chances and possessions but just couldnt find that killer ball to split them apart

credit to Mourinho though, made that Real team into a real group of battlers.

wonder what his doubters will have to say about this then.

i think we were definitely gathering momentum going into the city game, where it was broken quite unceremoniously - to what extent remains to be seen, but i think last night was certainly evidence of it, and you have to question what a potentially damaging result it could prove. but united have been here before, they know what they have to do next. everton on their current form are a proper banana skin, even at home, and we need to be on our game.

it's also looking very likely now that the challenge is to hold chelsea off, and in that respect it is something of a saving grace that we play them at OT, which is more likely to work in our favour. would rather have that and arsenal away than the other way round. although it would be nice if it was less of an issue by then but i somehow £#%&!ing doubt it.

It's the snidey 'tactical' fouls that they do further upfield that go unpunished whch do my nut in. If it was outside their penalty area more players would have to be booked but for some reason since it's up the other end it doesn't seem to matter as much.

The pressure they put on sides in that area is a huge part of the way they play too. The £#%&!ing snidey @#%&!s.

Oh, Alves = king of all @#%&!s and Busquets = a woman.

Those mini cups are a lot £#%&!ing cooler than medals.

Remember united players getting them in 93. Was that the last time over here?

Similar story with Inter last season, when they were hammered by Barca in the group phase. It's impressive how quickly he seems to re-organise and learn from defeat.

Gotta disagree. Medals should be reserved for olympians. Miniature trophies are much better. Yanks do rings for their sports, which i quite like as another alternative.

99.9% of people wouldnt know what a premier league winners medal looks like, how shit is that?

Go along with some of the thoughts on here re Braca/Madrid.Have always preferred Barca, but am glad Real won tonight. Mourinho and Ronaldo deserve a bit of silverware tbh.

They wont be getting any more this season, mind.

And Arsene thinks his team gets 'too much criticism from the media' Yeah, we don't.And we haven't had to put up with a season of £#%&!ing ludicrous decisions and a witch hunt from the FA either

Silly bastard.

Kudos to Maureen. Barca look way, way better than them, but they've hung on to get decent results in both games so far. I'd still expect Barca to progress over two legs in Europe, but you never know.
