had a moment of doubt this morning

was gleefully watching footage of eejits coming out of the fanzone at Castlefield

one pig faced blonde bird with a stupid posh accent was being interviewed saying "oh they did us proud, such a great effort"

My immediate reaction was to laugh at her, but then I started thinking....is this what football has now become?

a vehicle for the middle classes to pretend they like football?

a social event where young people can socialise, share photos on social media and sing patriotic songs?

maybe its time for me to accept that the game has changed...moved on....and old divvies like me who yearn for the good old days of aggressive all male crowds standing on dilapidated terraces...jumpers for goalposts....wagon wheel and a Bovril at half time.....its over

its changed

they won

its shit

Football is mostly £#%&! now.

Our South Americans, Garlic Belt dwellers and Africans vs their South Americans, Garlic Belt dwellers and Africans.

A Lingard or Rashford comes through? Burn him!! He's not Messi at 20 years old. Let's buy Juan Latino, N'Bongo N'Bongo and Pierre Paella di Bruges.

Sorry but I have no problem my trains being run by German companies, our supermarkets being German, our electronics Korean or Japanese etc. but I want our football to be still traditionally English/British/Irish.

McGrath.
Keane.
Joe Jordan
Lou Macari
Giggs

It should form the backbone of our team. I don't mind 3 or 4 tops but ffs = Rojo v Aguero giving each other a reach around in the tunnel, Alien Headed 50p Freak Kompany hugging Lukaku etc. boils my piss.

Sorry - goes without saying that Robson/Scholes/Ferdinand/Bruce/Beckham/Lingard, Rashford, Neville etc. are key to the spine of the team.

I watched it on the Belgian TV. Heard nothing out of the ordinary, just that bloody band playing GSTQ. No commentator mentioned anything
