I wouldn’t say floored pal, but it’s not a nice thought thinking these @#%&!s potentially being bankrolled by oil money

Come to think of it I’m floored by that thought.

Hopefully musk buys them and moves the club to the moon or into a black hole.

Wonder how much it will fetch, considering a micky mouse club like Chelsea went for £2.5bn in a quick sale?

But they're the biggest most bestest club in the whole wild world. Best squad, stadium, manager, youth team, kit man, tea lady.

Only £10bn will do.

Is this not just a share sell off to raise cash? or have they had some crazy offer?

Don't follow the figures anymore, but I imagine they are worth far more than they were bought for.

Bought for £300m 12 years ago

Utd have spent half that on Pogba and Maguire.

Throw in DDG £120 mil contract and you're pretty much there.

Like the Glazer's they're seeking "investment" as they probably sniff the financial turmoil on the horizon. Like the Glazers, no hint they are looking for full-sell.

Hopefully. The Boston lot seem to have less cash than our mobsters.

Liverpool owners FSG have received 'no firm bids' since putting the club on the market for £2.7bn three months ago with the global economy, dire form and Manchester United's hunt for new ownership blamed for struggles

Always Utd's fault

I think we'll struggle as well. The ESL was panned in such a way that it's hard to see it taking off again within the next few decades. How does a new owner see a meaningful return on their investment?

If a state doesn't come in and buy them/us, who will? Ineos obviously expressed an interest but it's hard to see them actually ponying up for us when the Glazers want £6b for a 'business' that needs around £1b spent on stadium, training facilities etc...

We are possibly the biggest sporting brand in the world but how much can that really make us worth when operational costs are contiuning to spiral out of control and there's no end in sight as states will continue to plough money into our rivals.

Doom.
