The greatest Manchester United player of all time not named Cristiano Ronaldo

If we're going to be shite for a few years I'd rather be shite with Keano in charge than a timid yes man like Ole

"He talks a good game," he said. "Imagine if he'd won a trophy. He goes on the TV about how he was harshly treated by me. He's crying on the TV about his family situation.

"Maybe he should lie low for a while. Have a look at his medals? That wouldn't take long."
Waters brother died, and his daughter has scoliosis. and his wife had a miscarraige.

he shouldn't be crying because he hasn't won trophies.

Keane is an absolute psychopath.

Not sure he has any qualities to be admired once he’s away from a football pitch.

I dont think Keane has said anything wrong, clearly his standards were a lot higher than those from the pool of players he had to pick from for Ireland. Imagine having to rely on Jon Walters? FFs

In mitigation, didn't Waters low key brag that he offered Roy out?

Also, Keane is going through his own family travails.

No doubt he's bang out of order though.

No need to even mention the family thing tbh, that's a bit low.

Proper low blows from Keane.

Walters comes across as a massive #@&%! in those videos with Wayne bridge, Sidwell etc btw

The player wasn’t exactly shy of mentioning it in public.

surely if you go on tv to talk about stuff then it can't be a low blow if someone else talks about the stuff you've just gone public with talking about?

I think Seamus has nailed it imo.

Keane has incredibly high standards, as befitting a top tier footballer. Only boxers (and Jessica ennis/Serena etc) seem to have the same single-minded determination.

Most footballers don't have his drive, we know this from our own squad. Social media/brand image is more important than sacrifice for the sport.

I don't think for a minute Keane was laughing at another man's tragedy. I have a massive bucket of excuses in my shed that contains all kinds of reasons why we would sooner lie in bed than not put in any effort at succeeding in something. Help yourself: they are all equal. just don't be woe-is-me-ing it later down the line.

I'm off to bed now for a lie down
